Breathe Easy Room Humidifier Instructions
- Remove the four (4) humidifier plates, air deflector, hook/latch assembly, and the
"S" hooks from the back of the unit.
- Take the humidifier plates and insert each into the back of the unit.
- Be sure the larger part of the plate is at the top of the unit. Insert the bottom of the
plate first.
- Each plate should be inserted into corresponding parallel top and bottom slots and
pressed forward into the front slots.

| For Wall
Registers: |
- Place the hook with threads into the hole provided in the back of the unit and insert
the female part with tightening head in the front of the unit. They will meet inside the
unit.
- Engage the threads and tighten. (Fig. 2)
- Place the hook through the slats at the bottom of the register, rotate
90 degrees until it is perpendicular to and behind the vents.
- Hand tighten until snug.
- Note: The Air Deflector (as shown in Fig. 5) is used in floor and radiator applications
only.
|
| For Baseboard
Heating Units: |
- Insert the 2 "S" hooks into two small holes on back of unit and hook over
baseboard opening. (Figs. 3 & 4).
- Leave the hook/latch assembly installed in the unit. This seals the hole in the front
and gives the unit a more attractive appearance.
|
| Convectors and
Floor Registers: |
- Take the Air Deflector as shown, placing its lower hooks over the back panel and slide
down firmly. (Fig. 5) Your unit is ready to use.
- Place the unit so that the air flow from your convector or floor register is trapped by
the air deflector.
- Try not to set the bottom of the unit directly on the register as you don't want to
block the air flow.
- Let the air deflector extend over the air flow and your unit will operate most
efficiently.
- Leave the hook/latch assembly installed in the unit.
|
| Radiator: |
- Place unit on top of the radiator and to the back, close to the wall.
- Allow the Air Deflector to hang over the back. This allows it to trap the heat rising
from the back of the radiator.
|
| Operation: |
- Now just fill the unit with 1¼ quarts of water. (Fig. 6)
- The water level indicator rod, located in the left corner of your Breathe Easy® II,
will always be visible when water is in the unit. When the rod falls below the opening, it
is time to add more water.
- Dispersal of moisture will vary with the operation of your heating system.
|
| This unit
should not be used on gas or electric portable space heaters or any heat source where
temperatures exceed 185 degrees F. |
Maintenance: |
- For best results, new humidifier plates should be installed every 4 to 6 weeks,
depending on the quality of the water.
- The unit should be cleaned regularly with hot, soapy water to remove mineral
accumulations.
